At Ability in Disability (AiD), we believe that every individual has potential — only opportunities differ.
We are dedicated to helping the differently-abled discover and develop their abilities so they can lead independent, productive, and dignified lives.

Since our inception in 2002, AiD has been a platform where people with physical, visual, speech, hearing, or intellectual challenges can receive vocational training, skill development, and employment opportunities.
Through hands-on experience, mentoring, and corporate collaborations, our trainees have proven that disability is not inability.

With a degree in engineering and 34 years of work experience at the Association of People with Disability (APD), Mr. NS Sarangdharan started Ability in Disability (AiD) at Adugodi, Bengaluru. He registered it as a society on 18th July 2002, under the Karnataka Societies Act, 1960. AiD trains and employs the physically challenged, the visually challenged, the speech and hearing impaired, the mentally challenged, and slow learners. AiD’s first batch of 35 trainees worked on mechanical assembly jobs outsourced from MICO (now BOSCH). AiD presently operates out of three centres located at Adugodi, Singasandra, and Peenya, and has won awards for its professionalism and high quality of training and service.
